About Me

I studied English Literature at Regent's Park College (Oxford University), graduating in 2014. I wrote my dissertation on the libretti used in Britten's opera from 1946-54 (The Rape of Lucretia, The Turn of the Screw and Billy Budd) and also have interests in the late Romantic period, as well as the American fin-de-siecle.

Last year I co-founded an international summer school in the arts and humanities and this year will be starting my MA at King's College London, in Nineteenth Century Studies.

Hello. I enjoyed reading your 'University diary' and your profile.

I'm applying to read English at university and was just wondering what do you find to be the most difficult aspect of studying English at university-the vast amount of texts you have to read, or actually writing about them? Also, how much support do you get given at Oxford with regards to essay writing?
