I can heartily recommend this book as I co-wrote it:

Useful for students and teachers alike.

Hi Neil

Just ordered these and looking forward to reading them. My new Year 12 students are a promising bunch and I'm going to introduce them to Peripeteia. After Christmas we'll be studying Emily Dickinson and Dorian Gray.

If you're studying AS or A2 English and you haven't read much in the way of academic critical essays on poetry, you might find 'How to analyse poetry, Art of Poetry vols. 1 & 2 useful. Written in a lively, accessible and we hope entertaining style, they're written to bridge the gap between material you may come across in class and the sometimes forbidding writing on poetry by literary academics. Providing a method for analysing the precision engineering of a poem, the series of 10 essays in each book provide essential analysis on poems that crop up time and again at 'A' level.

In other Peripeteia publishing news, member and seminar host, Helen Calutt's debut collection of poems,'Sudden Rainfall', is to be published shortly. We hope members will show Helen our support by buying her first book. Expect intense, lyrical poetry, expertly crafted.
